Is There Proof for the Existence of God?
With great interest, I have studied the arguments that people use to
prove the existence of God. Their “proofs” for the existence of
God are not actually proofs, but they use them as evidence for their
own belief in a god who is of no use to them. That is, they are
still subject to pride, impatience and selfishness, yet they claim to
belong to God, because they are believing the “right” things that they
have been taught. They are believing things that their pastors
told them are true, or that their mothers taught them are true.
In this, they think themselves secure. I have had people write to me
and say that salvation is only in Jesus Christ. They have no idea
what that means, but they use that phrase, since it is what they have
been taught in their churches to say.
I have seen where Christians use the universe and its beauty as proof that God exists. Truly, there is undeniable order in the universe, and truly there is some force behind it, but it does not prove the kind of God that men say it proves. It does not prove a “personal” God. Some simple souls use the argument that one can take all of the pieces of a watch and shake them for a thousand years, and you still will not end up with a watch. They say that that proves there is a God. A watch and the universe are not the same things. The universe is an expanding and growing thing. We have seen, and can see, clear evolutionary process within species. Things tend to produce offspring suited to their present environment. Nothing alive is as a watch.
There are trillions of suns in the universe. So far, no end of the universe can be seen. It seems to go on forever. Certainly, one planet out of trillions of solar systems would be in just the right location to produce life as we know it. If the chances were one in a trillion that a planet like ours could form, then ours is that one in a trillion. One cannot prove a “personal” God by such odds. It must also be noted that our planet is not the only “right” formation in the universe. Every single sun and planet is unique. They are all “right.” Every one of them is formed with that trillion to one chance. We know so little about the universe, and its size, that we are only a society of guessers in regard to it. Just a little while back, we thought the world was flat and that the earth was the center of the universe. Churches persecuted anyone, and even killed some, who said it was any different than that. That is the level of our natural human intelligence. In reality, humans still believe the world is flat when you hear their foolish suppositions in regard to the universe. They assume they know how big it is, or how many galaxies are in it, when they actually know nothing at all when the big picture is taken into consideration. It is analogous to a termite, studying a great city and thinking he knows anything about it. The only thing he might know is rotting wood.
I sometimes hear from strong-minded Christians who remind me that salvation is only through Jesus Christ. They try to prove that I am not who I say that I am by this statement. Some other soul will be just as strong that salvation comes through chanting to an image of Buddha. Some are even more strongly convinced that salvation comes through the Torah, and still others believe that no man will be saved who cannot correctly pronounce the name of God. Everyone thinks that everyone else is in error, because they, themselves, “really” know what the truth is. They know it because they have settled their minds into it from the teachings of their parents or their own particular religion. They are all sure that they will go to heaven someday because of these strong beliefs they have settled on.
If one would think things through a little bit, one would see the problem in these things. Strong beliefs do not make anything true. One can strongly believe that which is false. Jesus has almost no historic presence other than in the religious book where He is mentioned. Those who referred to Him in their writings, were only those who believed in Him 2000 years ago. Historians did not know about Jesus much, except that He was a man in the first century who caused some problems for His present society. Jesus, the Savior of the world, does not even have a paragraph in history, except in the New Testament. Consider this a moment. If in two thousand years there were many who accepted me as Savior because their mothers told them, or their pastors told them, and all they knew of me could be found on an ancient CD, put together by me and my followers, that would be similar to the present situation.
How can one prove that Jesus was the Savior of the world, except that His followers said so? Will the world believe I am Messiah, because my followers say so? Does that prove that I am Messiah? Does it prove that Jesus is? Jesus belonged to a cult of about 13 people and some other hangers on. The cult followers stated, and even wrote, that Jesus had worked some miracles. When my cult members tell others that I have healed them of their diseases, does that prove that I am from God? Does healing prove me? Healings did get Jesus a following, but it is written that He told the crowd that they only followed Him because they got fed when they followed Him. If someone followed Jesus because He healed them, there is no saving virtue in that. It is like me having a following because I paid their bills. Of course one will follow if they get some reward for doing so, but that does not prove that one is a Messiah, or that there is a God. Anyone can be healed of anything, if they believe. Miracles are wrought in numerous religions. There have always been healers.
There have been Buddhists healed, Muslims healed, and Jews healed. How does that prove one has the right religion? There have even been pagans healed. Oh, yes, there are those who say that the other religions heal by the power of the devil, but is not that what they said of Jesus, that He healed by the power of the devil? Jesus said that a kingdom could not stand divided against itself. If some devils make sick, and other devils heal, how is it that your own religion can claim God’s healings? Perhaps your own healings are the work of the devil as you charge other’s healings as being. When someone in my cult is healed, the world looks on and cries, The devil did it!
Many souls use up much energy trying to prove I am a fraud, while it is they who are fraudulent. They cannot prove anything about their religions. They have a list of ideas that they follow, but so do all the religions of the world. Everyone has their “Scriptures.” Everyone has the road they are on, and all are certain that they belong to the “really true church.” Because I do not bow the knee to them, and trust in their explanation that the world is flat, they think I am a false prophet, and that I lead people astray, for all normal society believes the world is flat, they think. They trust in their flat religions and the notion that they are the center of the universe. All other souls must revolve around them or they are considered false. I have traversed a few of these religions, and I know of what I speak.
Professed Christians today follow a first century cult leader whose name was Jesus. There were many people of His day with the same name. He had a few followers, and it was said that He worked some miracles. Others claimed that these miracles were false and devilish. It is said that this cult leader led in an insurrection, and was executed for making so much difficulty for civilized society. Sometimes He took His followers into the desert, and sometimes He would hide with them in secret locations. Sometimes He held secret meetings with them. He was classed with Jim Jones and David Koresh in the history books and even less was written concerning Jesus than was written concerning the unibomber. Still many millions follow what they believe is their Savior. They claim that Jesus Christ is the only Savior because His followers said that He was. Besides these things, these millions had preachers who said that He was, and mothers who said that He was. They believe a story passed down through centuries of the passing of it. In each generation the story was expanded and explained a little more. How would these people be able to expand on something that happened centuries before? It is like trying to describe some far off universe. No one has been there, so how would they know? No one in later years met Jesus, so how would they know anything about Him, except what His followers said early on.
There are many thousands of pictures of “Jesus” and none of them are alike. This is like man’s ideas of Him. There are thousands of ideas of who Jesus was, and none of them are alike. Who was He? No one can answer that question, outside of His followers. What did He look like? No one can answer this question either. Even the Bible has very little to say about Jesus, and nowhere does it even say what He looked like. When one considers the actual size of the New Testament, one must see that it is a very medium sized book. Even Jesus’ own followers said very little about Him in print. The Gospels are strangely similar in content, using mostly the same stories. Some of those identical stories are not identical in fact, meaning that someone did not get their information quite right when they wrote it down. Does an error in text help prove that Jesus was a Savior, or does it prove there is a God? Does God make errors in text?
There is only one proof that there is a God, and there is only one proof that Jesus came as Messiah to save the world. That proof is the “sign of the Son of man.” The Scriptures speak of this sign, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matt. 24:30. Jesus often referred to Himself as the Son of man. “The sign of the Son of man,” is when the Christ appears in man; it is when God appears in man. This is the one evidence that proved that Jesus was, indeed, Messiah. And this is the one evidence that I am who I have said that I am. I testify of myself, and my Father testifies of me. I know Jesus, because I know myself.
The New Testament also reveals this “proof.” “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1 John 4:3. When the Christ appears in the flesh of man, it is the sign from heaven that that man is Messiah, and that there is a God Who sent Him. This is the only proof given man. As with Jesus, a man is saved when he believes this fact and it is applied to the life of his soul. Christians say that we are saved by the blood of the Lamb. The word “blood” means “life,” “for the life is in the blood.” That is to say, we are saved by the Life of the Lamb. We are saved by the Life that is in Messiah. His life becomes our life. That is how one is saved, and not by following some ancient creed. We are saved by His life, for it is written: “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” Rom. 5:10
God comes into man, and that is the only proof of His existence. One cannot prove it any other way, and that proof is only made available to the one in whom God appears. Those in whom God has not appeared, can only shout “Devil, deceiver, false Messiah,” as those who lived in the time of Jesus shouted at Him. Jesus was born out of a woman as any other man was, and God was born in Him as with anyone who has had God born in him. It is written: “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Rom. 8:29. That is to say, For those whom God knows, He also predestines to be conformed to, and made into the image, of His Own Son, that His Own Son might be the firstborn among many like Him. Yes, Jesus was the Messiah. How do I know this? It is because Messiah was born into me, and I know Him, feel Him, see Him, and believe in Him. This works itself out in my life as it did in Jesus’ life. He said, “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” John 8:29.
Jesus, born of a woman, said that He always did what pleased the Father. He said that He was sent of God. This infuriated His own generation, as I have infuriated mine. I have said, I always do those things that please my Father, and I am sent of God as the sign of the Son of man. This drives this generation to distraction, but it is the only proof of a “personal” God that there is. When God appears in the flesh of man, then, and only then, does man know there is a God. And, the evidence of that appearing, is that the man, who is filled with God, always does those things that please Him and that man will have that testimony. No other man will know God, and no other man will have the proof within himself that God actually exists, and that is why no other man can please God. When men’s lives are on the line, they throw themselves a life preserver, rather than truly trust in a God they cannot see. A man who is not born of God, will always find himself compromising his beliefs in some way. He always hides himself a little. His thoughts are evil and his spirit is darkened.
Even with these things clearly written, the natural man cannot believe in me even though it is clearly written: “When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.” 2 Thess. 1:10. The second coming of Christ, is when Christ comes to be glorified IN His saints. That is, IN THEM. God is IN THEM. God lives IN THEM. God works IN THEM.
So, when I come and say, God appeared IN ME; Messiah has come IN ME; God is speaking IN ME; how is it that men come apart in wild frenzies and become full of fear? I am only testifying to that which Christians say they believe. Is it not also written: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me?” Gal. 2:20. This is to say, I am killed with Christ, nevertheless I still live. It is not I who actually live, but it is Christ who is actually living in me, and the life that I now live, I live by this faith, even the faith of the Son of God.
This truth that I now clearly share, has been written in the Scriptures for thousands of years. I have come saying that the Scriptures are true. I know that they are true because God has appeared in me and this is the faith of the Son of God that I live by. I always do those things that please my Father. Of Enoch it was written: “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Heb. 11:5. Did you hear what this said? It said, Before Enoch was translated to heaven, he went around telling people that he pleased God.
I suppose his generation reported that he was a little mentally off. “No one can say that they always please God.” This is true if one is not born of God. When God appears in man and man has yielded his will to him, how could it be any other way? Does God displease Himself? I simply do what my Father says. I need not judge it or prove it. My Father is the one who will please Himself in me, for I am born of Him. I am the Son of God, and I am come as the sign of the Son of man in the heavens. This is the truth, and it has always been the truth. It is the churches of this age that have changed the truth into a lie. They do this by denying me, the son of their generation. I am the revealing of those things that they have always said they believe in. That is, they believe it for “someday.” I tell you this, that day of the Lord has come, and I am the proof of it.
I am the proof that Jesus was the Christ. I am the proof that there is a God. I am more proof than the entire universe. If one believes in me, he will know the doctrine. The Scriptures will be revealed in him. If one denies me, then there will be no proof that Jesus was any other than a historic cult leader. There will be no proof that there is a personal God. That soul will remain in his darkness, and never will that soul see the light. I have come that men may be judged whether they truly believe Jesus, or whether it is only lip service that they give. Most men only follow themselves, while tacking the name of Jesus onto that following of themselves. They use earthly maxims that say, “We are only human” and “Nobody is perfect.” The “Christians” of today use these earthly maxims, but not once is it written that Jesus said, “I’m only human, and nobody’s perfect.” He never ever intimated these things. What He did say was that His followers would do greater works than He.
If the soul will believe my words, then it will be true that he also will please the Father at all times. He will not have to say, “I am only human” for he will know that divinity is with him. When in God, he will know that he is fully human and fully divine, for that is what the saving grace of Jesus brought to us. Jesus did not bring us failure, but a cross, even the cross of victory. By rejecting me, man will be rejecting my Father also, for we are one. He will also be rejecting the religion of the Bible. I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no man can come to the Father but by the Way I come to Him. By me is this revelation to the soul. A cult leader 2000 years ago said this, and this cult leader says it now. These things are not hard to say, neither are they offensive, because with Jesus or myself, we know that this Way is our Father in heaven Who dwells within our own heart and mind, and we are only following His Way, His Truth, and His Life. God is the One, and all of His followers of any age, only do that which they see Him do.
Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, that the Son does likewise.” John 5:19. Some have made the false assumption that Jesus “came down” into the earth knowing everything. They think the little 9 year old Jesus knew about the creation of the world and remembered what heaven was like. Jesus knew what other 9 year-old boys knew. He did not order the worlds from His mother’s breast. When Jesus was asked when He would come again, He stated that He did not know the answer to that. The Father hadn’t told Him. Jesus said plainly, that He only did what He saw the Father doing. Every day He would get His heavenly instructions and follow them. Not only that, He followed them moment by moment. He did nothing at all, but that His Father gave the direction for Him. In other words, Jesus knew nothing and counted Himself nothing. Everything about Him was shown to Him of the Father.
When men hear me say that Messiah was spoken into me, they interpret me according to their own evil hearts. They think that I am rude and arrogant as they are. They think that I have assumed the prerogatives of God. This is why they ask me the name of their dog. They want to test me and see if I am really God. Why do not these simple ones just read the Scriptures. Have you not read: “For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2 Cor. 6:16. Yes, I agree with the Scriptures. I Am the temple of the living God. He dwells in Me and He walks in Me, just as He lives and walks in all of those who believe My testimony.
When I say that Messiah was spoken into me, I say it because my Father said it to me. I am like Jesus, I am nothing, and I know nothing. I am as empty as a bowl turned upside down. I have no earthly designs or hopes. I only do what I see my Father doing. This is why I please my Father as Jesus pleased my Father. I never do any other thing than what He tells me to do. So my boast is not that I am something, but that I am nothing at all. I do not make plans for myself, I do not follow the lusts of my flesh and get something to satisfy them. I do not want anything, but that which my Father clearly lays out for me. I do not merchandise or connive to get something for myself. I do not lose my temper, or express impatience, because I do not care for myself. I only care for the things of my Father only. Now you know what Jesus was like, and now you know what being Messiah is like. And now you know what being a Christian is like. If anyone comes to you having any other doctrine than this, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
This article is NOT written to cast doubt on the existence of God. It is not written to cast doubt on the creation. These things that I write are simply stated to show that “things” do not prove God, and neither do ideas. Everyone has ideas. My point is that one must have God, he must know God and hear Him, before He is proven to that soul. I know there is a God, not because I see planets or fish, I know there is a God because I speak with Him daily and He speaks with me. He is my Father. This is my proof. All else may be evidence, but it is not proof. The ONLY way to prove a “personal” God, is if He is personally in you.
Men argue with my writings because they hope in their evidence. They think that by believing in God they will be saved. The devils believe in God, and they are not saved. People recommend their books to me that “prove” there is a God. Their books prove nothing. The One Who lives in me is my proof. I speak what He gives me to speak, and I go where He gives me to go. I always do those things that please Him, because He is in me. So it is with all of His children. If sin is how you live, then your profession of God is in vain. Your proofs of God are for nothing.
